Biography
Dr. Prabhat Sharma is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur, India. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and has served as the Chair of the IEEE Nagpur Subsection (2022-2023). He was a visiting researcher at the University of Southern California (USC) from Sept 2023 to March 2024 under the SERB SIRE Fellowship. He serves on the editorial boards of several prestigious journals including IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Transactions of Molecular Biological and Multiscale Communications, IEEE Communications Letters and IEEE Wireless Communication Letters. He is the Nodal Officer for VNIT 5G Lab which is supported by the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India. His current research interests include 6G and beyond wireless communication systems, quantum, molecular and biological communications, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS), machine learning and AI in communications, game theory, and biomedical systems.
